Overcoming noise-agility trade-off in integrated lasers for precision sensing
Di Yu, Yitian Tong, Yu Xia +16
Lasers that combine narrow linewidths with rapid tunability are critical for applications such as coherent optical ranging, distributed fiber-optic sensing, and precision spectrosc…
Building reliable 3D photonic integrated circuits and cavities at the wafer scale
Yuhao Huang, Yunqi Fu, Yu Xia +6
Three-dimensional (3D) photonic integrated circuits (PIC) are emerging as an indispensable scheme for high density and multifunctional photonic systems. However, the wafer-scale sc…
Scalable 3D silicon nitride photonic interposer for high-density optical interconnects
Yu Xia, Yuhao Huang, Yuemin Li +10
Modern computing workloads demand energy-efficient, high-bandwidth interconnects, motivating photonic interposers as an alternative to electrical links. Here we demonstrate a compa…
Meter-long broadband chirped Bragg gratings for on-chip dispersion control and pulse shaping
Zhaoting Geng, Yitian Tong, Chuchen Zhang +12
Precise on-chip dispersion control is essential for advanced integrated photonic technologies, enabling applications ranging from high-speed communications and sensing to signal pr…
