Particle Physics with the Cosmic Microwave Background with SPT-3G
J. S. Avva, P. A. R. Ade, Z. Ahmed +85
The cosmic microwave background (CMB) encodes information about the content and evolution of the universe. The presence of light, weakly interacting particles impacts the expansion…
Performance of Al-Mn Transition-Edge Sensor Bolometers in SPT-3G
A. J. Anderson, P. A. R. Ade, Z. Ahmed +86
SPT-3G is a polarization-sensitive receiver, installed on the South Pole Telescope, that measures the anisotropy of the cosmic microwave background (CMB) from degree to arcminute s…
On-sky performance of the SPT-3G frequency-domain multiplexed readout
A. N. Bender, A. J. Anderson, J. S. Avva +86
Frequency-domain multiplexing (fMux) is an established technique for the readout of large arrays of transition edge sensor (TES) bolometers. Each TES in a multiplexing module has a…
Design and Bolometer Characterization of the SPT-3G First-year Focal Plane
W. Everett, P. A. R. Ade, Z. Ahmed +73
During the austral summer of 2016-17, the third-generation camera, SPT-3G, was installed on the South Pole Telescope, increasing the detector count in the focal plane by an order o…
