Building A Field: The Future of Astronomy with Gravitational Waves, A State of The Profession Consideration for Astro2020
Kelly Holley-Bockelmann, Joey Shapiro Key, Brittany Kamai +28
Harnessing the sheer discovery potential of gravitational wave astronomy will require bold, deliberate, and sustained efforts to train and develop the requisite workforce. The next…
The Laser Interferometer Space Antenna: Unveiling the Millihertz Gravitational Wave Sky
John Baker, Jillian Bellovary, Peter L. Bender +39
The first terrestrial gravitational wave interferometers have dramatically underscored the scientific value of observing the Universe through an entirely different window, and of f…
Space Based Gravitational Wave Astronomy Beyond LISA
John Baker, Simon F. Barke, Peter L. Bender +20
The Laser Interferometer Space Antenna (LISA) will open three decades of gravitational wave (GW) spectrum between 0.1 and 100 mHz, the mHz band. This band is expected to be the ric…
Characterization of photoreceivers for LISA
Felipe Guzmán Cervantes, Jeffrey Livas, Robert Silverberg +2
LISA will use quadrant photoreceivers as front-end devices for the phasemeter measuring the motion of drag-free test masses in both angular orientation and separation. We have set…
