New high-resolution near-infrared observations of the asymmetric jet of the massive young stellar object G192.16-3.82
Paul A. Boley, Hendrik Linz, Nadezhda Dmitrienko +6
The process of massive star formation is tightly connected with the appearance of molecular outflows, which interact with surrounding interstellar medium and can be used as a proxy…
The REQUIEM Survey I: A Search for Extended Ly-Alpha Nebular Emission Around 31 z>5.7 Quasars
Emanuele Paolo Farina, Fabrizio Arrigoni-Battaia, Tiago Costa +19
The discovery of quasars few hundred megayears after the Big Bang represents a major challenge to our understanding of black holes and galaxy formation and evolution. Their luminos…
High resolution morphology and surface photometry of KIG 685 and KIG 895 with ARGOS+LUCI
R. Rampazzo, M. Uslenghi, I. Y. Giorgiev +14
We aim to refine the sample of isolated early-type galaxies in the AMIGA catalogue via high resolution imaging. Here we report the result from a pilot study investigating two candi…
The Milky Way like galaxy NGC 6384 and its nuclear star cluster at high NIR spatial resolution using LBT/ARGOS commissioning data
Iskren Y. Georgiev, Nadine Neumayer, Wolfgang Gaessler +11
We analyse high spatial resolution near infra-red (NIR) imaging of NGC6384, a Milky Way like galaxy, using ARGOS commissioning data at the Large Binocular Telescope (LBT). ARGOS pr…
