Localization in Multipath Environments via Active Sensing with Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces
Yinghan Li, Wei Yu
This letter investigates an uplink pilot-based wireless indoor localization problem in a multipath environment for a single-input single-output (SISO) narrowband communication syst…
Transfer Learning with Reconstruction Loss
Wei Cui, Wei Yu
In most applications of utilizing neural networks for mathematical optimization, a dedicated model is trained for each specific optimization objective. However, in many scenarios,…
Active Sensing for Reciprocal MIMO Channels
Tao Jiang, Wei Yu
This paper addresses the design of transmit precoder and receive combiner matrices to support independent data streams over a time-division duplex (TDD) point-to-point…
Hybrid Online-Offline Learning for Task Offloading in Mobile Edge Computing Systems
Muhammad Sohaib, Sang-Woon Jeon, Wei Yu
We consider a multi-user multi-server mobile edge computing (MEC) system, in which users arrive on a network randomly over time and generate computation tasks, which will be comput…
Joint Activity and Data Detection for Massive Grant-Free Access Using Deterministic Non-Orthogonal Signatures
Nam Yul Yu, Wei Yu
Grant-free access is a key enabler for connecting wireless devices with low latency and low signaling overhead in massive machine-type communications (mMTC). For massive grant-free…
