Solving scalability issues in calculating PV hosting capacity in low voltage distribution networks
Tomislav Antic, Andrew Keane, Tomislav Capuder
The share of end-users with installed rooftop photovoltaic (PV) systems is continuously growing. Since most end-users are located at the low voltage (LV) level and due to technical…
Strategic Scheduling of Discrete Control Devices in Active Distribution Systems
Alireza Nouri, Alireza Soroudi, Andrew Keane
The frequent actuation of discrete control devices dcds, e.g., on-load tap changers, drastically reduces their lifetime. This, in turn, imposes a huge replacement cost. Simultaneou…
Fast Resource Scheduling for Distribution Systems Enabled with Discrete Control Devices
Alireza Nouri, Alireza Soroudi, Andrew Keane
This paper proposes a framework for fast short-term scheduling and steady-state voltage control in distribution systems enabled with both continuous control devices, e.g., inverter…
Resilient Decentralized Control of Inverter-interfaced Distributed Energy Sources in Low-voltage Distribution Grids
Alireza Nouri, Alireza Soroudi, Andrew Keane
This paper shows that a relation can be found between the voltage at the terminals of an inverter-interfaced Renewable Energy Source RES and its optimal reactive power support. Thi…
