Polarization Independent Optical Isolator in Sagnac-Type Configuration
Mouhamad Al-Mahmoud, Emiliya Dimova, Hristina Hristova +3
We propose a polarization-independent optical isolator that does not use walk-off between the two orthogonal polarizations. The design is based on two Faraday rotators in combinati…
Broadband polarization rotator with tunable rotation angle composed of three wave-plates
Mouhamad Al-Mahmoud, Virginie Coda, Andon Rangelov +1
A simple scheme for a broadband polarization rotator with tunable rotation angle is proposed and verified experimentally. The rotator consists of only three wave-plates, one of whi…
Segmented Composite Optical Parametric Amplification
Mouhamad Al-Mahmoud, Andon Rangelov, Virginie Coda +1
We propose a novel optical parametric amplification scheme which combines quasi-phase-matching with a composite pulse approach that involves crystal segments of specific lengths. T…
Achromatic polarization rotator with tunable rotation angle
Elena Stoyanova, Mouhamad Al-Mahmoud, Hristina Hristova +3
We theoretically suggest and experimentally demonstrate a broadband composite optical rotator that is capable of rotating the polarization plane of a linearly-polarized light at an…
