Dim Prospects for Transmission Spectra of Ocean Earths Around M Stars
Gabrielle Suissa, Avi M. Mandell, Eric T. Wolf +3
The search for water-rich Earth-sized exoplanets around low-mass stars is rapidly gaining attention because they represent the best opportunity to characterize habitable planets in…
The First Habitable Zone Earth-sized Planet from TESS. III: Climate States and Characterization Prospects for TOI-700 d
Gabrielle Suissa, Eric T. Wolf, Ravi kumar Kopparapu +11
We present self-consistent three-dimensional climate simulations of possible habitable states for the newly discovered Habitable Zone Earth-sized planet, TOI-700 d. We explore a va…
The First Habitable Zone Earth-Sized Planet From TESS II: Confirms TOI-700 d
Joseph E. Rodriguez, Andrew Vanderburg, Sebastian Zieba +43
We present 4.5m observations of the transit of TOI-700 d, a habitable zone Earth-sized planet in a multiplanet system transiting a nearby M-dwarf star (TIC 150428135,…
The First Habitable Zone Earth-sized Planet from TESS. I: Validation of the TOI-700 System
Emily A. Gilbert, Thomas Barclay, Joshua E. Schlieder +92
We present the discovery and validation of a three-planet system orbiting the nearby (31.1 pc) M2 dwarf star TOI-700 (TIC 150428135). TOI-700 lies in the TESS continuous viewing zo…
