A bright millisecond-duration radio burst from a Galactic magnetar
FRB Collaboration, B. C. Andersen, K. M. Bandura +68
Magnetars are highly magnetized young neutron stars that occasionally produce enormous bursts and flares of X-rays and gamma-rays. Of the approximately thirty magnetars currently k…
Simultaneous X-ray and Radio Observations of the Repeating Fast Radio Burst FRB 180916.J0158+65
P. Scholz, A. Cook, M. Cruces +35
We report on simultaneous radio and X-ray observations of the repeating fast radio burst source FRB 180916.J0158+65 using the Canadian Hydrogen Intensity Mapping Experiment (CHIME)…
Nine New Repeating Fast Radio Burst Sources from CHIME/FRB
E. Fonseca, B. C. Andersen, M. Bhardwaj +38
We report on the discovery and analysis of bursts from nine new repeating fast radio burst (FRB) sources found using the Canadian Hydrogen Intensity Mapping Experiment (CHIME) tele…
Periodic activity from a fast radio burst source
FRB Collaboration, M. Amiri, B. C. Andersen +70
Fast radio bursts (FRBs) are bright, millisecond-duration radio transients originating from extragalactic distances. Their origin is unknown. Some FRB sources emit repeat bursts, r…
