Filamentary structures of ionized gas in Cygnus X
K. L. Emig, G. J. White, P. Salas +12
Ionized gas probes the influence of massive stars on their environment. The Cygnus X region (d~1.5 kpc) is one of the most massive star forming complexes in our Galaxy, in which th…
A more detailed look at Galactic magnetic field models: using free-free absorption in HII regions
I. M. Polderman, M. Haverkorn, T. R. Jaffe
The observed interaction product of Cosmic Rays (CRs) and Galactic magnetic fields (GMF) is the Galactic synchrotron emission integrated over the line-of-sight (LOS). The GMF stren…
Low frequency measurements of synchrotron absorbing HII regions and modeling of observed synchrotron emissivity
I. M. Polderman, M. Haverkorn, T. R. Jaffe +1
Cosmic rays (CRs) and magnetic fields are dynamically important components in the Galaxy, and their energy densities are comparable to that of the turbulent interstellar gas. The i…
Polarized point sources in the LOFAR Two-meter Sky Survey: A preliminary catalog
C. L. Van Eck, M. Haverkorn, M. I. R. Alves +22
The polarization properties of radio sources at very low frequencies (<200 MHz) have not been widely measured, but the new generation of low-frequency radio telescopes, including t…
