The Arecibo Galaxy Environment Survey: II. A HI view of the Abell cluster 1367 and its outskirts
L. Cortese, R. F. Minchin, R. R. Auld +13
We present 21 cm HI line observations of 5x1 square degrees centered on the local Abell cluster 1367 obtained as part of the Arecibo Galaxy Environment Survey. One hundred sources…
Dust Properties and Star-Formation Rates in Star-Forming Dwarf Galaxies
J. L. Rosenberg, Yanling Wu, Emeric Le Floc'h +5
We have used the Spitzer Space Telescope to study the dust properties of a sample of star-forming dwarf galaxies. The differences in the mid-infrared spectral energy distributions…
The ALFA Zone of Avoidance Survey: Results from the Precursor Observations
C. M. Springob, P. A. Henning, B. Catinella +11
The Arecibo L-band Feed Array Zone of Avoidance Survey (ALFA ZOA) will map 1350-1800 square degrees at low Galactic latitude, providing HI spectra for galaxies in regions of the sk…
The Local Galaxy 8 micron Luminosity Function
J. -S. Huang, M. L. N. Ashby, P. Barmby +18
A SST survey in the NOAO Deep-Wide Field in Boötes provides a complete, 8-micron-selected sample of galaxies to a limiting (Vega) magnitude of 13.5. In the 6.88 deg field sampl…
