A wavelet-based model of magnetic turbulence over a Parker spiral field
Andrea Larosa, Francesco Pucci, Francesco Malara +7
The propagation of Solar Energetic Particles (SEPs) through the heliosphere is strongly influenced by solar-wind magnetic turbulence, which governs particle scattering, field-line…
Evolution and Impact of Switchbacks Throughout the Heliosphere
Alfred Mallet, Chen Shi, Anna Tenerani +23
Magnetic switchbacks are large-amplitude fluctuations in the interplanetary magnetic field, and appear frequently in the near-Sun solar wind explored recently by Parker Solar Probe…
Generation and Expansion-Driven Growth of Switchbacks in the Outer Solar Corona and Solar Wind
Nikos Sioulas, Marco Velli, Chen Shi +6
We analyze \emph{Parker Solar Probe} and \emph{Solar Orbiter} measurements of magnetic-field reversals (``switchbacks'') across the Alfvén surface (), where is t…
Properties of Magnetic Switchbacks in the Near-Sun Solar Wind
Samuel T. Badman, Naïs Fargette, Lorenzo Matteini +24
Magnetic switchbacks are fluctuations in the solar wind in which the interplanetary magnetic field sharply deflects away from its background direction so as to create folds in magn…
