The Locus Algorithm I: A technique for identifying optimised pointings for differential photometry
Oisín Creaner, Kevin Nolan, Eugene Hickey +1
Studies of the photometric variability of astronomical sources from ground-based telescopes must overcome atmospheric extinction effects. Differential photometry by reference to an…
The Locus Algorithm II: A robust software system to maximise the quality of fields of view for Differential Photometry
Kevin Nolan, Eugene Hickey, Oisín Creaner
We present the software system developed to implement the Locus Algorithm, a novel algorithm designed to maximise the performance of differential photometry systems by optimising t…
The Locus Algorithm IV: Performance metrics of a grid computing system used to create catalogues of optimised pointings
Oisín Creaner, John Walsh, Kevin Nolan +1
This paper discusses the requirements for and performance metrics of the the Grid Computing system used to implement the Locus Algorithm to identify optimum pointings for different…
The Locus Algorithm III: A Grid Computing system to generate catalogues of optimised pointings for Differential Photometry
Oisń Creaner, Kevin Nolan, John Walsh +1
This paper discusses the hardware and software components of the Grid Computing system used to implement the Locus Algorithm to identify optimum pointings for differential photomet…
