Watermark-Based Code Construction for Finite-State Markov Channel with Synchronisation Errors
Shamin Achari, Ling Cheng
With advancements in telecommunications, data transmission over increasingly harsher channels that produce synchronisation errors is inevitable. Coding schemes for such channels ar…
Symbol-Level Synchronisation Channel Modelling With Real-World Application: From Davey-Mackay, Fritchman to Markov
Shamin Achari, Daniel Glenn Holmes, Ling Cheng
Errors in realistic channels contain not only substitution errors, but synchronisation errors as well. Moreover, these errors are rarely statistically independent in nature. By ext…
Self-Synchronising On-Off-Keying Visible Light Communication System For Intra and Inter-Vehicle Data Transmission
Shamin Achari, Alice Yi Yang, James Goodhead +2
Visible Light Communication (VLC) is a current technology which allows data to be transmitted by modulating information onto a light source. It has many advantages over traditional…
A Comprehensive Analysis of Correlated Source Compression Using Edge Computing in Distributed Systems
Benjamin Rosen, Shane House, Shamin Achari +1
This paper examines the theory pertaining to lossless compression of correlated sources located at the edge of a network. Importantly, communication between nodes is prohibited. In…
