On the Lefschetz locus in Gor(1,n,n,1)

Lenin Bezerra, Viviana Ferrer, Rodrigo Gondim

We study two special families of cubic hypersurfaces with vanishing Hessian in $P^{N}$ , obtaining rational parametrizations and computing their degree in $P (S_{3})$ .…

Linear Pullback components of the space of codimension one foliations

V. Ferrer, I. Vainsencher

The space of holomorphic foliations of codimension one and degree $d \geq 2$ in $P^{n}$ ( $n \geq 3$ ) has an irreducible component whose general element can be written as a pul…

Developable cubics in $P^{4}$ and the Lefschetz locus in $GOR (1, 5, 5, 1)$

Thiago Fassarella, Viviana Ferrer, Rodrigo Gondim

We provide a classification of developable cubic hypersurfaces in $P^{4}$ . Using the correspondence between forms of degree $3$ on $P^{4}$ and Artinian Gorenstein $\mat…

Degenerate singularities of one dimensional Foliations

V. Ferrer, I. Vainsencher

We give formulas for the degrees of the spaces of foliations in P2 with a dicritical singularity of prescribed order. Blowing up such singularity induces, generically, a foliation…

Polynomial vector fields with algebraic trajectories

Viviana Ferrer, Israel Vainsencher

It is known after Jouanolou that a general holomorphic foliation of degree $\geq 2$ in projective space has no algebraic leaf. We give formulas for the degrees of the subvarieties o…
