Optical and NIR Observations of the Afterglow of GRB 020813
S. Covino, D. Malesani, F. Tavecchio +28
We present optical and near-infrared (NIR) photometry of the bright afterglow of GRB 020813. Our data span from 3 hours to 4 days after the GRB event. A rather sharp achromatic bre…
NICS-TNG low-resolution 0.85-2.45um spectra of L-Dwarfs: a near-infrared spectral classification scheme for faint dwarfs
L. Testi, F. D'Antona, F. Ghinassi +8
We present complete near-infrared (0.85-2.45 um), low-resolution (~100) spectra of a sample of 26 disk L-dwarfs with reliable optical spectral type classification. The observations…
Detection of the optical afterglow of GRB 000630: Implications for dark bursts
J. U. Fynbo, B. L. Jensen, J. Gorosabel +25
We present the discovery of the optical transient of the long-duration gamma-ray burst GRB000630. The optical transient was detected with the Nordic Optical Telescope 21.1 hours af…
Constraints to the Masses of Brown Dwarf Candidates from the Lithium Test
E. L. Martin, R. Rebolo, A. Magazzu
We present intermediate dispersion (0.7-2.2 Å~pix) optical spectroscopic observations aimed at applying the ``Lithium Test'' to a sample of ten brown dwarf candidates locate…
