Timing Performance of the CMS High Granularity Calorimeter Prototype
CMS HGCAL collaboration
This paper describes the experience with the calibration, reconstruction and evaluation of the timing capabilities of the CMS HGCAL prototype in the beam tests in 2018. The calibra…
Charge Collection and Electrical Characterization of Neutron Irradiated Silicon Pad Detectors for the CMS High Granularity Calorimeter
N. Akchurin, P. Almeida, G. Altopp +22
The replacement of the existing endcap calorimeter in the Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) detector for the high-luminosity LHC (HL-LHC), scheduled for 2027, will be a high granularity…
Versatile systems for characterization of large-area silicon pad sensors for highly-granular calorimetry
Pedro Dias de Almeida
High-granularity calorimeters utilizing silicon pad sensors as main active material are being designed for the CMS endcap calorimeter upgrade and have been proposed for the electro…
Deep Diffused Avalanche Photodiodes for Charged Particles Timing
M. Centis Vignali, P. Dias De Almeida, L. Franconi +12
The upgrades of ATLAS and CMS for the High Luminosity LHC (HL-LHC) highlighted physics objects timing as a tool to resolve primary interactions within a bunch crossing. Since the e…
