Indoor Millimeter-Wave Systems: Design and Performance Evaluation
Jacek Kibiłda, Allen B. MacKenzie, Mohammad J. Abdel-Rahman +10
Indoor areas, such as offices and shopping malls, are a natural environment for initial millimeter-wave (mmWave) deployments. While we already have the technology that enables us t…
On Shadowing the - Fading Model
Nidhi Simmons, Carlos Rafael Nogueira da Silva, Simon L. Cotton +3
In this paper, we extensively investigate the way in which - fading channels can be impacted by shadowing. A family of shadowed - fading models are introduced and class…
Entropy and Energy Detection-based Spectrum Sensing over F Composite Fading Channels
Seong Ki Yoo, Simon L. Cotton, Paschalis C. Sofotasios +3
In this paper, we investigate the performance of energy detection-based spectrum sensing over F composite fading channels. To this end, an analytical expression for the average det…
A Comprehensive Analysis of 5G Heterogeneous Cellular Systems operating over - Shadowed Fading Channels
Young Jin Chun, Simon L. Cotton, Harpreet S. Dhillon +3
Emerging cellular technologies such as those proposed for use in 5G communications will accommodate a wide range of usage scenarios with diverse link requirements. This will includ…
