Dynamic response of ferrofluidic deformable mirrors using elastomer membrane and overdrive techniques
Maxime Rochette, Ermanno F. Borra, Jean-Philippe Déry +1
Here are presented the experimental results obtained with a ferrofluidic deformable mirror controlled by electro-magnet actuators. Using a step input through a single actuator we o…
Detection of planetary signals by reflected light of the host star using the autocorrelation of spectra
E. F. Borra, D. Deschatelets
We consider an alternative to the cross-correlation function (CCF), that uses the autocor- relation function (ACF), to measure in spectra the reflected light of the stars by their…
A technique to detect periodic and non-periodic ultra-rapid flux time variations with standard radio-astronomical data
Ermanno F. Borra, Jonathan D. Romney, Eric Trottier
We demonstrate that extremely rapid and weak periodic and non-periodic signals can easily be detected by using the autocorrelation of intensity as a function of time. We use standa…
The zenithal 4-m International Liquid Mirror Telescope: a unique facility for supernova studies
Brajesh Kumar, Kanhaiya L. Pandey, S. B. Pandey +4
The 4-m International Liquid Mirror Telescope (ILMT) will soon become operational at the newly developed Devasthal observatory near Nainital (Uttarakhand, India). Coupled with a 4k…
