Characterizing exoplanetary atmospheres at high resolution with SPIRou: Detection of water on HD 189733 b
Anne Boucher, Antoine Darveau-Bernier, Stefan Pelletier +29
We present the first exoplanet atmosphere detection made as part of the SPIRou Legacy Survey, a Large Observing Program of 300 nights exploiting the capabilities of SPIRou, the new…
TOI-1278 B: SPIRou unveils a rare Brown Dwarf Companion in Close-In Orbit around an M dwarf
Étienne Artigau, Guillaume Hébrard, Charles Cadieux +39
We present the discovery of an M brown dwarf (BD) companion to the M0V star TOI-1278. The system was first identified through a percent-deep transit in TESS…
Where is the Water? Jupiter-like C/H ratio but strong HO depletion found on Boötis b using SPIRou
Stefan Pelletier, Björn Benneke, Antoine Darveau-Bernier +18
The present-day envelope of gaseous planets is a relic of how these giant planets originated and evolved. Measuring their elemental composition therefore presents a powerful opport…
Primary Velocity and Orbital Phase Effects on Planetary Detectability from Small Epoch Number Data Sets
Cam Buzard, Stefan Pelletier, Danielle Piskorz +2
Cross correlation analyses of high resolution spectroscopic data have recently shown great success in directly detecting planetary signals and enabling the characterization of thei…
