Spectral and spatial isolation of single WSe quantum emitters using hexagonal boron nitride wrinkles
Raphaël S. Daveau, Tom Vandekerckhove, Arunabh Mukherjee +5
Monolayer WSe hosts bright single-photon emitters. Because of its compliance, monolayer WSe conforms to patterned substrates without breaking, thus creating the potential f…
Engineering electron-phonon coupling of quantum defects to a semi-confocal acoustic resonator
Huiyao Chen, Noah F. Opondo, Boyang Jiang +4
Diamond-based microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) enable direct coupling between the quantum states of nitrogen-vacancy (NV) centers and the phonon modes of a mechanical resonato…
Optical refrigeration with coupled quantum wells
R. S. Daveau, P. Tighineanu, P. Lodahl +1
Refrigeration of a solid-state system with light has potential applications for cooling small-scale electronics and photonics. We show theoretically that two coupled semiconductor…
Single-photon superradiance from a quantum dot
P. Tighineanu, R. S. Daveau, T. B. Lehmann +4
We report on the observation of single-photon superradiance from an exciton in a semiconductor quantum dot. The confinement by the quantum dot is strong enough for it to mimic a tw…
