Meshfree implementation of the cardiac monodomain model through the Fragile Points Method
Konstantinos A. Mountris, Leiting Dong, Yue Guan +2
Meshfree methods for in silico modelling and simulation of cardiac electrophysiology are gaining more and more popularity. These methods do not require a mesh and are more suitable…
A Fragile Points Method, with an interface debonding model, to simulate damage and fracture of U-notched structures
Kailei Wang, Baoying Shen, Mingjing Li +2
Notched components are commonly used in engineering structures, where stress concentration may easily lead to crack initiation and development. The main goal of this work is to dev…
Real-Time Prediction of Probabilistic Crack Growth with a Helicopter Component Digital Twin
Xuan Zhou, Shuangxin He, Leiting Dong +1
To deploy the airframe digital twin or to conduct probabilistic evaluations of the remaining life of a structural component, a (near) real-time crack-growth simulation method is cr…
Meshless Fragile Points Methods Based on Petrov-Galerkin Weak-Forms for Transient Heat Conduction Problems in Complex Anisotropic Nonhomogeneous Media
Yue Guan, Satya N. Atluri
Three kinds of Fragile Points Methods based on Petrov-Galerkin weak-forms (PG-FPMs) are proposed for analyzing heat conduction problems in nonhomogeneous anisotropic media. This is…
