Optimization and stabilization of a kilohertz laser-plasma accelerator
L. Rovige, J. Huijts, I. A. Andriyash +13
Laser plasma acceleration at kilohertz repetition rate has recently been shown to work in two different regimes, with pulse lengths of either 30 fs or 3.5 fs. We now report on a sy…
Dosimetric characterisation and application to radiation biology of a kHz laser-driven electron beam
Marco Cavallone, Lucas Rovige, Julius Huijts +8
Laser-plasma accelerators can produce ultra short electron bunches in the femtosecond to picosecond duration range, resulting in high peak dose rates in comparison with clinical ac…
Carrier-envelope phase effects in Laser Wakefield Acceleration with near-single-cycle pulses
Julius Huijts, Igor Andriyash, Lucas Rovige +2
Driving laser wakefield acceleration with extremely short, near single-cycle laser pulses is crucial to the realisation of an electron source that can operate at kHz-repetition rat…
Demonstration of stable long-term operation of a kilohertz laser-plasma accelerator
Lucas Rovige, Julius Huijts, Aline Vernier +10
We report on the stable and continuous operation of a kilohertz laser-plasma accelerator. Electron bunches with 2.6 pC charge and 2.5 MeV peak energy were generated via injection a…
