How does boiling occur in lattice Boltzmann simulations?
Qing Li, Y. Yu, Z. X. Wen
In recent years, the lattice Boltzmann (LB) method has been widely employed to simulate boiling phenomena [A. Márkus and G. Házi, Phys. Rev. E 83, 046705 (2011); Biferale et al., P…
Enhancement of nucleate boiling by combining the effects of surface structure and mixed wettability: A lattice Boltzmann study
W. X. Li, Q. Li, Y. Yu +1
The combination of microstructures and mixed wettability for enhancing nucleate boiling has attracted much attention in recent years. However, in the existing experimental and nume…
Modified mass-conservative curved boundary scheme for lattice Boltzmann simulations
Y. Yu, Q. Li, Z. X. Wen
The lattice Boltzmann (LB) method has gained much success in a variety of fields involving fluid flow and/or heat transfer. In this method, the bounce-back scheme is a popular boun…
Improved three-dimensional color-gradient lattice Boltzmann model for immiscible multiphase flows
Z. X. Wen, Q. Li, Y. Yu +1
In this paper, an improved three-dimensional color-gradient lattice Boltzmann (LB) model is proposed for simulating immiscible multiphase flows. Compared with the previous three-di…
