Lowering In-Memory Footprint of Antenna Beams via Polynomial Approximation
Ali Taqi, Karel Adámek, Quentin Gueuning +3
With the emergence of new radio telescopes promising larger fields of view at lower observation frequencies (e.g., SKA), addressing direction-dependent effects (DDE) (e.g., directi…
A Broadband Multipole Method for Accelerated Mutual Coupling Analysis of Large Irregular Arrays Including Rotated Antennas
Quentin Gueuning, Eloy de Lera Acedo, Anthony Keith Brown +2
We present a numerical method for the analysis of mutual coupling effects in large, dense and irregular arrays with identical antennas. Building on the Method of Moments (MoM), our…
A beamforming approach to the self-calibration of phased arrays
Quentin Gueuning, Antony Brown, Christophe Craeye +1
In this paper, we propose a beamforming method for the calibration of the direction-independent gain of the analog chains of aperture arrays. The gain estimates are obtained by cro…
Fast and Accurate Simulation Technique for Large Irregular Arrays
Ha Bui-Van, Jens Abraham, Michel Arts +5
A fast full-wave simulation technique is presented for the analysis of large irregular planar arrays of identical 3-D metallic antennas. The solution method relies on the Macro Bas…
