The UK Submillimetre and Millimetre Astronomy Roadmap 2024
K. Pattle, P. S. Barry, A. W. Blain +31
In this Roadmap, we present a vision for the future of submillimetre and millimetre astronomy in the United Kingdom over the next decade and beyond. This Roadmap has been developed…
JINGLE -- IV. Dust, HI gas and metal scaling laws in the local Universe
I. De Looze, I. Lamperti, A. Saintonge +29
Scaling laws of dust, HI gas and metal mass with stellar mass, specific star formation rate and metallicity are crucial to our understanding of the buildup of galaxies through thei…
Astro2020: Unleashing the Potential of Dust Emission as a Window onto Galaxy Evolution
Christopher Clark, Julua Roman-Duval, Sarah Sadavoy +15
We present the severe, systematic uncertainties currently facing our understanding of dust emission, which stymie our ability to truly exploit dust as a tool for studying galaxy ev…
JINGLE, a JCMT legacy survey of dust and gas for galaxy evolution studies: I. Survey overview and first results
Amelie Saintonge, Christine D. Wilson, Ting Xiao +88
JINGLE is a new JCMT legacy survey designed to systematically study the cold interstellar medium of galaxies in the local Universe. As part of the survey we perform 850um continuum…
