GRB 221009A: Discovery of an Exceptionally Rare Nearby and Energetic Gamma-Ray Burst
Maia A. Williams, Jamie A. Kennea, S. Dichiara +53
We report the discovery of the unusually bright long-duration gamma-ray burst (GRB), GRB 221009A, as observed by the Neil Gehrels Swift Observatory (Swift), Monitor of All-sky X-ra…
Observation of inverse Compton emission from a long -ray burst
V. A. Acciari, S. Ansoldi, L. A. Antonelli +301
Long-duration gamma-ray bursts (GRBs) originate from ultra-relativistic jets launched from the collapsing cores of dying massive stars. They are characterised by an initial phase o…
Fermi and Swift Observations of GRB 190114C: Tracing the Evolution of High-Energy Emission from Prompt to Afterglow
M. Ajello, M. Arimoto, M. Axelsson +147
We report on the observations of gamma-ray burst (GRB) 190114C by the Fermi Gamma-ray Space Telescope and the Neil Gehrels Swift Observatory. The early-time observations reveal mul…
The First Swift Intensive AGN Accretion Disk Reverberation Mapping Survey
R. Edelson, J. Gelbord, E. Cackett +32
Swift intensive accretion disk reverberation mapping of four AGN yielded light curves sampled 200-350 times in 0.3-10 keV X-ray and six UV/optical bands. Uniform reduction an…
