Inferring possible magnetic field strength of accreting inflows in EXor-type objects from scaled laboratory experiments
K. Burdonov, R. Bonito, T. Giannini +28
Aims. EXor-type objects are protostars that display powerful UV-optical outbursts caused by intermittent and powerful events of magnetospheric accretion. These objects are not yet…
Laboratory evidence for asymmetric accretion structure upon slanted matter impact in young stars
K. Burdonov, G. Revet, R. Bonito +15
Investigating in the laboratory the process of matter accretion onto forming stars through scaled experiments is important in order to better understand star and planetary systems…
Laboratory disruption of scaled astrophysical outflows by a misaligned magnetic field
G. Revet, B. Khiar, E. Filippov +20
The shaping of astrophysical outflows into bright, dense and collimated jets due to magnetic pressure is here investigated using laboratory experiments. We notably look at the impa…
Young Stars and their Variability with LSST
Rosaria Bonito, Patrick Hartigan, Laura Venuti +35
Young stars exhibit short-term photometric variability caused by mass accretion events from circumstellar disks, the presence of dusty warps within the inner disks, starspots that…
