Multifrequency study of HH 137 and HH 138: Discovering new knots and molecular outflows with Gemini and APEX
Leticia V. Ferrero, Cristina E. Cappa, Hugo P. Saldaño +3
We present a multi-wavelength study of two HH objects (137 and 138) that may be associated. We use Gemini H (2.12 m) and K (2.2 m) images, as well as APEX molecular line…
An illumination effect and an eccentric orbit for the symbiotic binary PU Vul revealed by 32 years of optical spectroscopy
Virginia A. Cúneo, Scott J. Kenyon, Mercedes N. Gómez +3
We analyze 32 years of optical spectra and photometry for the symbiotic binary PU Vul. Light curves for the He I 4471, He II 4686 and H 4861 emission lines reveal…
The IRAS 08589-4714 star-forming region
H. P. Saldaño, J. Vásquez, M. Gómez +3
We present an analysis of the IRAS 08589-4714 star-forming region. This region harbors candidate young stellar objects identified in the WISE and Herschel images using color index…
SED analysis of class I and class II FU Orionis stars
Luciana V. Gramajo, Javier A. Rodón, Mercedes Gómez
FU Orionis stars (FUORS) are eruptive pre-main sequence objects thought to represent quasi-periodic or recurring stages of enhanced accretion during the low-mass star-forming proce…
