CUORE crystal validation runs: results on radioactive contamination and extrapolation to CUORE background
F. Alessandria, E. Andreotti, R. Ardito +116
The CUORE Crystal Validation Runs (CCVRs) have been carried out since the end of 2008 at the Gran Sasso National Laboratories, in order to test the performances and the radiopurity…
Sensitivity and Discovery Potential of CUORE to Neutrinoless Double-Beta Decay
F. Alessandria, R. Ardito, D. R. Artusa +118
We present a study of the sensitivity and discovery potential of CUORE, a bolometric double-beta decay experiment under construction at the Laboratori Nazionali del Gran Sasso in I…
Double-beta decay of Te to the first 0 excited state of Xe with CUORICINO
E. Andreotti, C. Arnaboldi, F. T. Avignone +63
The CUORICINO experiment was an array of 62 TeO single-crystal bolometers with a total Te mass of kg. The experiment finished in 2008 after more than 3 years…
Rejection of Surface Background in Thermal Detectors
Carlo Bucci, Paolo Gorla, Wolfgang Seidel
Thermal detectors have recently achieved a leading position in the fields of neutrinoless double beta decay and dark matter searches thanks to excellent energy resolution and numer…
