Fast radio burst detection in the presence of coloured noise
C. F. Zhang, J. W. Xu, Y. P. Men +17
In this paper, we investigate the impact of correlated noise on fast radio burst (FRB) searching. We found that 1) the correlated noise significantly increases the false alarm prob…
Diverse polarization angle swings from a repeating fast radio burst source
R. Luo, B. J. Wang, Y. P. Men +34
Fast radio bursts (FRBs) are millisecond-duration radio transients of unknown origin. Two possible mechanisms that could generate extremely coherent emission from FRBs invoke neutr…
Giant micropulse emission in the Vela pulsar at C band
J. L. Chen, Z. G. Wen, L. F. Hao +11
We present here the analysis of giant micropulses from the Vela pulsar. A total of 4187 giant micropulses with peak flux density 2.5 Jy were detected during almost 4 hours of ob…
Piggyback search for fast radio bursts using Nanshan 26m and Kunming 40m radio telescopes -- I. Observing and data analysis systems, discovery of a mysterious peryton
Y. P. Men, R. Luo, M. Z. Chen +12
We present our piggyback search for fast radio bursts using the Nanshan 26m Radio Telescope and the Kunming 40m Radio Telescope. The observations are performed in the L-band from 1…
