RX J2133.7+5107 : Identification of a new long period Intermediate Polar
J. M. Bonnet-Bidaud, M. Mouchet, D. de Martino +2
We report the first time-resolved photometric and spectroscopic optical observations of the X-ray source RX J2133.7+5107, identified in the ROSAT survey. A clear persistent optical…
The discovery of hard X-ray emission in the persistent flux of the Rapid Burster
M. Falanga, R. Farinelli, P. Goldoni +3
We report the first detection with INTEGRAL of persistent hard X-ray emission (20 to 100 keV) from the Rapid Burster (MXB 1730-335), and describe its full spectrum from 3 to 100 ke…
A white dwarf with a low magnetic field in the IP RXJ0028.8+5917/V709Cas
J. M. Bonnet-Bidaud, M. Mouchet, D. de Martino +2
We report the first detailed spectroscopic observations of the recently identified intermediate polar RXJ0028.8+5917/V709 Cas. We discovered that the system shows significant EW ~…
A barred spiral at the centre of the giant elliptical radio galaxy Centaurus A
I. F. Mirabel, O. Laurent, D. B. Sanders +7
We report observations at mid-infrared and sub-millimeter wavelengths of Centaurus A (CenA, NGC 5128), the giant elliptical galaxy that harbors the closest radio loud Active Galact…
