Large-scale adaptive multiple testing for sequential data controlling false discovery and nondiscovery rates
Rahul Roy, Shyamal K. De, Subir Kumar Bhandari
In modern scientific experiments, we frequently encounter data that have large dimensions, and in some experiments, such high dimensional data arrive sequentially rather than full…
Exact Tests for Offline Changepoint Detection in Multichannel Binary and Count Data with Application to Networks
Shyamal K. De, Soumendu Sundar Mukherjee
We consider offline detection of a single changepoint in binary and count time-series. We compare exact tests based on the cumulative sum (CUSUM) and the likelihood ratio (LR) stat…
Estimation of Gini Index within Pre-Specied Error Bound
Bhargab Chattopadhyay, Shyamal Krishna De
Gini index is a widely used measure of economic inequality. This article develops a general theory for constructing a confidence interval for Gini index with a specified confidence…
Minimum Risk Point Estimation of Gini Index
Shyamal Krishna De, Bhargab Chattopadhyay
This paper develops a theory and methodology for estimation of Gini index such that both cost of sampling and estimation error are minimum. Methods in which sample size is fixed in…
