Learning to Predict 3D Objects with an Interpolation-based Differentiable Renderer
Wenzheng Chen, Jun Gao, Huan Ling +4
Many machine learning models operate on images, but ignore the fact that images are 2D projections formed by 3D geometry interacting with light, in a process called rendering. Enab…
Representation Degeneration Problem in Training Natural Language Generation Models
Jun Gao, Di He, Xu Tan +3
We study an interesting problem in training neural network-based models for natural language generation tasks, which we call the \emph{representation degeneration problem}. We obse…
Fast Interactive Object Annotation with Curve-GCN
Huan Ling, Jun Gao, Amlan Kar +2
Manually labeling objects by tracing their boundaries is a laborious process. In Polygon-RNN++ the authors proposed Polygon-RNN that produces polygonal annotations in a recurrent m…
DeepSpline: Data-Driven Reconstruction of Parametric Curves and Surfaces
Jun Gao, Chengcheng Tang, Vignesh Ganapathi-Subramanian +3
Reconstruction of geometry based on different input modes, such as images or point clouds, has been instrumental in the development of computer aided design and computer graphics.…
