Magnetic Fluctuations and Turbulence in the Venus Magnetosheath and Wake
Z. Vörös, T. L. Zhang, M. P. Leubner +4
Recent research has shown that distinct physical regions in the Venusian induced magnetosphere are recognizable from the variations of strength and of wave/fluctuation activity of…
Nonextensive entropy approach to space plasma fluctuations and turbulence
M. P. Leubner, Z. Voros, W. Baumjohann
Spatial intermittency in fully developed turbulence is an established feature of astrophysical plasma fluctuations and in particular apparent in the interplanetary medium by in sit…
Dark matter density profiles: A comparison of nonextensive theory with N-body simulations
T. Kronberger, M. P. Leubner, E. van Kampen
Density profiles of simulated galaxy cluster-sized dark matter haloes are analysed in the context of a recently introduced nonextensive theory of dark matter and gas density distri…
Nonextensive theory of dark matter and gas density profiles
M. P. Leubner
Pronounced core-halo patterns of dark matter and gas density profiles, observed in relaxed galaxies and clusters, were hitherto fitted by empirical power-laws. On the other hand, s…
A nonextensive entropy approach to solar wind intermittency
M. P. Leubner, Z. Voros
The probability distributions (PDFs) of the differences of any physical variable in the intermittent, turbulent interplanetary medium are scale dependent. Strong non-Gaussianity of…
A measure of gravitational entropy and structure formation
Manfred P. Leubner
Increasing inhomogeneity due to gravitational clumping reflects increasing gravitational entropy in a time evolving universe. Starting from an ensemble of uniformly distributed par…
