Meta-intransitive Systems of Independent Random Variables and Fractals
Alexey V. Lebedev
We construct meta-intransitive systems of independent random variables of any finite order from basic tuple of random variables which generalize intransitive dice. Under this const…
Maximal Branching Processes in Random Environment
Alexey V. Lebedev
The work continues the author's many-year research in theory of maximal branching processes, which are obtained from classical branching processes by replacing the summation of des…
Non-Adaptive and Adaptive Two-Sided Search with Fast Objects
Alexey Lebedev, Christian Deppe
In 1946, Koopman introduced a two-sided search model. In this model, a searched object is active and can move, at most, one step after each test. We analyze the model of a combinat…
Extremal Indices in the Series Scheme and their Applications
Alexey V. Lebedev
We generalize the concept of extremal index of a stationary random sequence to the series scheme of identically distributed random variables with random series sizes tending to inf…
On the Interrelation between Dependence Coefficients of Extreme Value Copulas
Alexey V. Lebedev
For extreme value copulas with a known upper tail dependence coefficient we find pointwise upper and lower bounds, which are used to establish upper and lower bounds of the Spearma…
