Variable stars in the bar of the Large Magellanic Cloud: the photometric catalogue
L. Di Fabrizio, G. Clementini, M. Maio +6
The catalogue of the Johnson-Cousins B,V and I light curves obtained for 162 variable stars (135 RR Lyrae, 4 candidate Anomalous Cepheids, 11 Classical Cepheids, 11 eclipsing binar…
Metal abundances of RR Lyrae stars in the bar of the Large Magellanic Cloud
R. G. Gratton, A. Bragaglia, G. Clementini +5
Metallicities ([Fe/H]) from low resolution spectroscopy obtained with the Very Large Telescope (VLT) are presented for 98 RR Lyrae and 3 short period Cepheids in the bar of the Lar…
New insights in high-resolution spectroscopy: a wide theoretical library of R=500000 stellar spectra
E. Bertone, A. Buzzoni, L. H. Rodriguez-Merino +1
We present an extended theoretical library of over 800 synthetic stellar spectra, covering energy distribution in the optical range (lambda = 3500-7000 angstrom), at inverse resolu…
Tomography of the low excitation planetary nebula NGC 40
F. Sabbadin, E. Cappellaro, S. Benetti +2
Spatially resolved, long-slit echellograms at different position angles of the bright, low excitation planetary nebula NGC 40 indicate that, the higher is the gas excitation, the f…
