SN2007ax : An Extremely Faint Type Ia Supernova
M. M. Kasliwal, E. O. Ofek, A. Gal-Yam +8
We present multi-band photometric and optical spectroscopic observations of SN2007ax, the faintest and reddest Type Ia supernova (SNIa) yet observed. With M_B = -15.9 and (B-V)max…
The Morphological Diversities Among Star-forming Galaxies at High Redshifts in the Great Observatories Origins Deep Survey (GOODS)
S. Ravindranath, M. Giavalisco, H. C. Ferguson +8
We have used the HST/ACS images to identify 4700 Lyman break galaxies (LBGs) in GOODS. We present the results from a parametric analysis of the 2-D surface brightness profiles, for…
Color-selected galaxies at z~6 in the Great Observatories Origins Deep Survey
M. Dickinson, D. Stern, M. Giavalisco +15
We report early results on galaxies at z~6, selected from Hubble Space Telescope imaging for the Great Observatories Origins Deep Survey. Spectroscopy of one object with the Advanc…
Molecular Abundances in B68
J. Di Francesco, M. R. Hogerheijde, W. J. Welch +1
Abundances for C18O, CS, NH3, H2CO, C3H2, and N2H+ and upper limits for the abundances of 13CO and HCO+ are derived for gas within the Bok globule B68 using our own BIMA array data…
