Collimated -flash emission along the target surface irradiated by a laser at non-grazing incidence
M. Matys, P. Hadjisolomou, R. Shaisultanov +7
The interaction of a high-power laser with a solid target provides ways to produce beams of -photons. For normal incidence of the laser on the target the beams usually appear in…
Demonstration of The Brightest Nano-size Gamma Source
A. S. Pirozhkov, A. Sagisaka, K. Ogura +46
Gamma rays selectively interact with nuclei, induce and mediate nuclear reactions and elementary particle interactions, and exceed x-rays in penetrating power and thus are indispen…
Bright coherent attosecond X-ray pulses from beam-driven relativistic mirrors
Marcel Lamač, Petr Valenta, Jaroslav Nejdl +3
Bright ultrashort X-ray pulses allow scientists to observe ultrafast motion of atoms and molecules. Coherent light sources, such as the X-ray free electron laser (XFEL), enable rem…
Direct laser acceleration: A model for the electron injection from the walls of a cylindrical guiding structure
P. Valenta, D. Maslarova, R. Babjak +3
We use analytical methods and particle-in-cell simulation to investigate the origin of electrons accelerated by the process of direct laser acceleration driven by high-power laser…
