Modulational instability in -symmetric Bragg grating structures with four-wave mixing
I. Inbavalli, K. Tamilselvan, A. Govindarajan +2
We investigate the dynamics of modulational instability (MI) in -symmetric fiber Bragg gratings with a phenomenon of intermodulation known as four-wave mixing (FWM). Altho…
Unique multistable states in periodic structures with saturable nonlinearity
S. Vignesh Raja, A. Govindarajan, M. Lakshmanan
We report that conventional saturable periodic structures, in sharp contrast to the conventional systems with different nonlinearities which exhibit the typical S- shaped optical b…
Unique multistable states in periodic structures with saturable nonlinearity. II. Broken -symmetric regime
S. Vignesh Raja, A. Govindarajan, M. Lakshmanan
In this work, we observe that the -symmetric fiber Bragg gratings (PTFBGs) with saturable nonlinearity (SNL) exhibit ramp-like, mixed, optical multistability (OM) in…
Unique multistable states in periodic structures with saturable nonlinearity. I. Conventional case and unbroken -symmetric regime
S. Vignesh Raja, A. Govindarajan, M. Lakshmanan
In this work, we predict that periodic structures without gain and loss do not exhibit an S-shaped hysteresis curve in the presence of saturable nonlinearity (SNL). Instead, the in…
