On subspaces of c_0 and extension of operators into C(K)-spaces
N. J. Kalton
Johnson and Zippin recently showed that if is a weak^*-closed subspace of and T:X-> C(K) is any bounded operator then T can extended to a bounded operator $\tilde T:\e…
Szlenk indices and uniform homeomorphisms
G. Godefroy, N. J. Kalton, G. Lancien
We prove some rather precise renorming theorems for Banach spaces with Szlenk index . We use these theorems to show the invariance of certain quantitative Szlenk-type indices…
Subspaces of c_0 and Lipschitz isomorphisms
G. Godefroy, N. J. Kalton, G. Lancien
We show that the class of subspaces of c_0 is stable under Lipschitz isomorphisms. The main corollary is that any Banach space which is Lipschitz isomorphic to c_0 is linearly isom…
Polynomial approximation on convex subsets of $\mathbb R^n
Y. Brudnyi, N. J. Kalton
Let K be a closed bounded convex subset of ; then by a result of the first author, which extends a classical theorem of Whitney there is a constant so that for e…
A solution to the problem of maximal regularity
N. J. Kalton, G. Lancien
We give a negative solution to the problem of the -maximal regularity on various classes of Banach spaces including -spaces with .
