Comparison between ARIMA and Deep Learning Models for Temperature Forecasting
Eranga De Saa, Lochandaka Ranathunga
Weather forecasting benefits us in various ways from farmers in cultivation and harvesting their crops to airlines to schedule their flights. Weather forecasting is a challenging t…
Nature Inspired Dimensional Reduction Technique for Fast and Invariant Visual Feature Extraction
Ravimal Bandara, Lochandaka Ranathunga, Nor Aniza Abdullah
Fast and invariant feature extraction is crucial in certain computer vision applications where the computation time is constrained in both training and testing phases of the classi…
Invariant properties of a locally salient dither pattern with a spatial-chromatic histogram
A. M. R. R. Bandara, L. Ranathunga, N. A. Abdullah
Compacted Dither Pattern Code (CDPC) is a recently found feature which is successful in irregular shapes based visual depiction. Locally salient dither pattern feature is an attemp…
A Feature Clustering Approach Based on Histogram of Oriented Optical Flow and Superpixels
A. M. R. R. Bandara, L. Ranathunga, N. A. Abdullah
Visual feature clustering is one of the cost-effective approaches to segment objects in videos. However, the assumptions made for developing the existing algorithms prevent them fr…
