Quantum Computing for High-Energy Physics: State of the Art and Challenges. Summary of the QC4HEP Working Group
Alberto Di Meglio, Karl Jansen, Ivano Tavernelli +43
Quantum computers offer an intriguing path for a paradigmatic change of computing in the natural sciences and beyond, with the potential for achieving a so-called quantum advantage…
Large-scale quantum approximate optimization on non-planar graphs with machine learning noise mitigation
Stefan H. Sack, Daniel J. Egger
Quantum computers are increasing in size and quality, but are still very noisy. Error mitigation extends the size of the quantum circuits that noisy devices can meaningfully execut…
Leakage in restless quantum gate calibration
Conrad J. Haupt, Daniel J. Egger
Quantum computers require high fidelity quantum gates. These gates are obtained by routine calibration tasks that eat into the availability of cloud-based devices. Restless circuit…
Pulse variational quantum eigensolver on cross-resonance based hardware
Daniel J. Egger, Chiara Capecci, Bibek Pokharel +4
State-of-the-art noisy digital quantum computers can only execute short-depth quantum circuits. Variational algorithms are a promising route to unlock the potential of noisy quantu…
