The First Full-Scale Prototypes of the Fluorescence detector Array of Single-pixel Telescopes
M. Malacari, J. Farmer, T. Fujii +16
The Fluorescence detector Array of Single-pixel Telescopes (FAST) is a design concept for a next-generation UHECR observatory, addressing the requirements for a large-area, low-cos…
Calibration and operation of SiPM-based cameras for gamma-ray astronomy in presence of high night-sky light
Imen Al Samarai, Cyril Martin Alispach, Matteo Balbo +56
The next generation of Cherenkov telescope cameras feature Silicon Photo Multipliers (SiPM), which can guarantee excellent performance and allow for observation also under moonligh…
Observing ultra-high energy cosmic rays with prototypes of the Fluorescence detector Array of Single-pixel Telescopes (FAST) in both hemispheres
Toshihiro Fujii, Max Malacari, John Farmer +22
The origin and nature of ultra-high energy cosmic rays (UHECRs) are hot topics in the astroparticle physics community. The Fluorescence detector Array of Single-pixel Telescopes (F…
Monte Carlo study of a single SST-1M prototype for the Cherenkov Telescope Array
Jakub Jurysek, Imen Al Samarai, Cyril Alispach +56
The SST-1M telescope was developed as a prototype of a Small-Size-Telescope for the Cherenkov Telescope Array observatory and it has been extensively tested in Krakow since 2017. I…
