Optimal strategies for shadow tomography with limited resources
Zhen-Peng Xu, Qi Ye, Jie Wang +3
Shadow tomography addresses the task of efficiently predicting many expectation values of an unknown quantum state from randomized measurements on comparatively few copies. Existin…
Simultaneous variances of Pauli strings, weighted independence numbers, and a new kind of perfection of graphs
Zhen-Peng Xu, Jie Wang, Qi Ye +3
A set of Pauli stings is well characterized by the graph that encodes its commutatitivity structure, i.e., by its frustration graph. This graph provides a natural interface between…
Approach to optimal quantum transport via states over time
Matt Hoogsteder-Riera, John Calsamiglia, Andreas Winter
We approach the problem of constructing a quantum analogue of the immensely fruitful classical transport cost theory of Monge from a new angle. Going back to the original motivatio…
Hyperbits: the information quasiparticles
M. Pawlowski, A. Winter
Information theory has its particles, bits and qubits, just as physics has electrons and photons. However, in physics we have a special category of objects with no clear counterpar…
Multiplicativity of Accessible Fidelity and Quantumness for Sets of Quantum States
K. M. R. Audenaert, C. A. Fuchs, C. King +1
Two measures of sensitivity to eavesdropping for alphabets of quantum states were recently introduced by Fuchs and Sasaki in quant-ph/0302092. These are the accessible fidelity and…
Relating quantum privacy and quantum coherence: an operational approach
Igor Devetak, Andreas Winter
We describe how to achieve optimal entanglement generation and one-way entanglement distillation rates by coherent implementation of a class of secret key generation and secret key…
