Afterglow spectrum of a gamma-ray burst with the highest known redshift z=6.295
N. Kawai, G. Kosugi, K. Aoki +25
Gamma-ray bursts (GRBs) and their afterglows have been proposed as an excellent probe to study the evolution of cosmic star formation, the reionization of the intergalactic medium,…
Clustering of Lyman Break Galaxies at z=4 and 5 in The Subaru Deep Field: Luminosity Dependence of The Correlation Function Slope
Nobunari Kashikawa, Makiko Yoshida, Kazuhiro Shimasaku +8
We explored the clustering properties of Lyman Break Galaxies (LBGs) at z=4 and 5 with an angular two-point correlation function on the basis of the very deep and wide Subaru Deep…
The Number Density of Old Passively-Evolving Galaxies at z=1 in the Subaru/XMM-Newton Deep Survey Field
Toru Yamada, Tadayuki Kodama, Masayuki Akiyama +10
We obtained the number counts and the rest-frame B-band luminosity function of the color-selected old passively-evolving galaxies (OPEGs) at z=1 with very high statistical accuracy…
Number Density of Bright Lyman-Break Galaxies at z~6 in the Subaru Deep Field
K. Shimasaku, M. Ouchi, H. Furusawa +3
We report on the bright Lyman-break galaxies (LBGs) selected in a 767 arcmin^2 area of the Subaru Deep Field. The selection is made in the i-zR vs zB-zR plane, where zB and zR are…
