Splittings of mapping tori of free group automorphisms

We present necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of a splitting over $\mathbb{Z}$ of the mapping torus $M_{\varphi }=F⋊\mathbb{Z}$ of a free group automorphism $\varphi$.
