Painlevé IV Critical Asymptotics for Orthogonal Polynomials in the Complex Plane
Marco Bertola, José Gustavo Elias Rebelo, Tamara Grava
We study the asymptotic behaviour of orthogonal polynomials in the complex plane that are associated to a certain normal matrix model. The model depends on a parameter and the asym…
Shock formation in the dispersionless Kadomtsev-Petviashvili equation
T. Grava, C. Klein, J. Eggers
The dispersionless Kadomtsev-Petviashvili (dKP) equation is one of the simplest nonlinear wave equations describing two-dimensional shocks. To solve the dKP e…
Numerical solution of the small dispersion limit of Korteweg de Vries and Whitham equations
Tamara Grava, Christian Klein
The Cauchy problem for the Korteweg de Vries (KdV) equation with small dispersion of order , is characterized by the appearance of a zone of rapid modulated oscillations of wa…
Eigenvalue correlations on Hyperelliptic Riemann surfaces
Y. Chen, T. Grava
In this note we compute the functional derivative of the induced charge density, on a thin conductor, consisting of the union of g+1 disjoint intervals, $J:=\cup_{j=1}^{g+1}(a_j,b_…
