A New Entropy Puzzle in ABJM
Alexandre Belin, Seyed Morteza Hosseini, Palash Singh +2
We point out a puzzle about BPS black holes in AdS: the entropy grows when increases although the number of gauge-invariant operators in the dual con…
Cardy random matrix theory
Marco Ambrosini, Alexandre Belin, Jan de Boer +1
We construct and study a ``Cardy random matrix model'': a random matrix theory whose only input, in a maximal-ignorance prescription, is the constraint of -modular inva…
Microcanonical Operator Spectrum, BPS Chaos and Free Probability Theory
Alexandre Belin, Yichao Fu, Federico La Rocca
Matrix elements of simple operators are central to thermalization in chaotic quantum many-body systems. Their moments are often described statistically through the Eigenstate Therm…
A 1/4-BPS chiral algebra in D1D5: from charge concentration to BPS chaos
Alexandre Belin, Suzanne Bintanja, Alessandra Gnecchi +2
The D1D5 CFT exhibits a charge concentration puzzle for BPS states, similar to, but simpler than, that of SYM. We consider the chiral algebra of 1/4-BPS operators i…
Positivity in energy correlators and the event distribution formula
Alexandre Belin, Nathan Borak, Johan Henriksson +2
Energy correlators are universal observables, well defined across a wide range of theories and spacetime dimensions, from gauge theory and conformal field theory to string theory.…
