Sample Complexity of Power System State Estimation using Matrix Completion
Joshua Comden, Marcello Colombino, Andrey Bernstein +1
In this paper, we propose an analytical framework to quantify the amount of data samples needed to obtain accurate state estimation in a power system - a problem known as sample co…
Geographically Coordinated Primary Frequency Control Technical Report
Joshua Comden, Tan N. Le, Yue Zhao +2
Primary Frequency Control (PFC) is a fast acting mechanism used to ensure high-quality power for the grid that is becoming an increasingly attractive option for load participation.…
Incentivizing Reliable Demand Response with Customers' Uncertainties and Capacity Planning
Joshua Comden, Zhenhua Liu, Yue Zhao
One of the major issues with the integration of renewable energy sources into the power grid is the increased uncertainty and variability that they bring. If this uncertainty is no…
Harnessing Flexible and Reliable Demand Response Under Customer Uncertainties
Joshua Comden, Zhenhua Liu, Yue Zhao
